Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Amazla (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Amazla website and the Amazla or Amazla Key applications available through the Zepp app ecosystem (together, the “Service”).

Amazla and Amazla Key are independent third-party products and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Tesla, Inc., Amazfit, Zepp Health, or their affiliates.

Products covered

  • Amazla (cloud): free app using Tesla Fleet API via your phone’s internet connection. Requires Tesla OAuth sign-in and processes vehicle data through cloud APIs.
  • Amazla Key (BLE): paid app ($10 one-time) that sends daily lock/unlock and frunk/trunk commands directly over Bluetooth (VCSEC). May still use Fleet API for vehicle status and climate when online. Stores BLE pairing keys locally on your watch and phone.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may process the following categories of information:

  • Account and authentication data: information needed to sign in with Tesla and maintain your session (for example tokens or identifiers required for authorization). Applies primarily to Amazla (cloud) and Amazla Key setup.
  • Vehicle-related data: vehicle status and command-related information needed to provide features such as lock/unlock, climate, frunk/trunk, charge port, and status display.
  • BLE pairing data (Amazla Key): cryptographic keys and pairing state stored locally on your watch and phone for direct Bluetooth communication with your vehicle. This data is not sent to our servers for daily commands.
  • Device and app data: watch/app identifiers, technical logs, crash reports, and diagnostics needed to operate and improve the Service.
  • Usage data: approximate usage patterns (for example feature usage frequency) to understand reliability and improve product quality.
  • Contact data: if you contact us, we collect the information you choose to send (such as email address and message content).

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • provide, operate, and maintain Amazla Key features;
  • authenticate you and communicate securely with Tesla services where required;
  • diagnose issues, prevent abuse, and improve reliability and security;
  • respond to support requests;
  • comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Legal Bases (Where Applicable)

If applicable data-protection laws require a legal basis, we process information based on one or more of the following: performance of a contract (providing the Service), our legitimate interests (security, reliability, product improvement), your consent (where required), and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Sharing of Information

We may share information with:

  • Service providers that help us host, operate, monitor, or support the Service, under confidentiality and data-protection obligations;
  • Tesla and related APIs/services as needed to perform requested vehicle actions;
  • Legal and safety recipients when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of users or the Service.

We do not share personal information for third-party advertising.

5. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal or security requirements. Retention periods may vary by data type and legal obligations.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

The Service is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps designed to ensure appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service may interact with third-party platforms and services (including Tesla and Zepp/Amazfit ecosystems). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We encourage you to review those policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when updates are published. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy, to the extent permitted by law.

Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Amazla’s website and applications, including Amazla (free, cloud) and Amazla Key ($10, BLE) (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Products

Amazla is provided free of charge and routes vehicle commands through the Tesla Fleet API via your phone’s internet connection. Amazla Key is a one-time $10 purchase inside Zepp that enables direct Bluetooth (BLE/VCSEC) control for daily lock/unlock and frunk/trunk actions without requiring your phone for each command.

1. Eligibility

You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement and old enough under applicable law to use the Service. You are responsible for ensuring that your use complies with local laws and with any applicable third-party terms (including Tesla and Zepp/Amazfit terms).

2. Description of the Service

Amazla and Amazla Key provide tools that help users interact with compatible Tesla vehicles from supported Amazfit watches via the Zepp ecosystem.

  • Amazla (cloud): lock/unlock, climate, defrost, frunk/trunk, charge port, and vehicle status via Tesla Fleet API. Requires phone internet for all commands.
  • Amazla Key (BLE): lock/unlock and frunk/trunk via direct Bluetooth; climate and status when online via Fleet API; passive entry when supported.

Features may change over time and may depend on vehicle model, firmware, connectivity, ZeppOS version, and third-party platform availability.

3. Account and Access

You may need to authenticate with Tesla and complete setup steps in Zepp/Amazfit environments to use Amazla or Amazla Key. Amazla Key additionally requires BLE pairing with your vehicle. You are responsible for:

  • maintaining the security of your devices and accounts;
  • all activity that occurs under your access credentials;
  • ensuring you have the right to control any vehicle linked to the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose;
  • attempt to reverse engineer, interfere with, or disrupt the Service except where permitted by law;
  • bypass security or access controls;
  • misrepresent your identity or authority over a vehicle;
  • use the Service in any way that could endanger people, property, or vehicle operation.

5. Third-Party Platforms and Disclaimer of Affiliation

Amazla and Amazla Key are independent products. Tesla, Amazfit, Zepp, Apple, Google, and related marks are trademarks of their respective owners. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by those parties. Availability and behavior of third-party APIs, apps, and services are outside our control.

6. Vehicle Safety and Responsibility

You remain solely responsible for safe and lawful use of your vehicle. Do not rely solely on Amazla or Amazla Key for critical access or safety operations. Always keep backup vehicle access methods available. Vehicle actions (remote or BLE) can have real-world consequences; use them carefully and only when it is safe to do so.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including software, branding, text, and design elements, is owned by Amazla or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

8. Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AMAZLA AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD 50, IF NO PAYMENT WAS REQUIRED.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, the limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Amazla and its operators from and against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any rights of another party.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe continued access creates risk to users, vehicles, systems, or legal compliance. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Amazla operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence apply and cannot be waived.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when updates are published. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
